The policy I have selected for my Final Paper is The Gun Control Act of 1968.The Gun Control Act of 1968 is a law that was passed by President Lyndon B. Johnson on October 22, 1968. The purpose of this law was to amend the National Firearm Act.This policy is important because there is so much violence going on in the world that needs to be ceased. So many people are dying from senseless shootings and there is nothing being done about it. Federalism impacts The Gun Control Act because it's an issue between the state and federal government. Some people want guns to be restricted but others do not.
